The QS ranking of the best Masters in Management is expected by business schools every year. However, unlike the Financial Times ranking, here QS does not rank the MiMs, French Masters in Management or Grande Ecole program, but many MScs dedicated to the practice of management.

The methodology of the QS 2023 ranking of the best Masters in Management
The QS site highlights the best Masters in Management in the world. For this purpose, data from three studies was collected:
- QS Global Employer Survey
- QS Global Academic Survey
- Survey conducted by the schools themselves
To be included in the QS ranking, the program must meet several requirements, be on campus, full-time, and have an average class size of at least 15 students. Finally, schools must be accredited by AACSB, AMBA, or EFMD.
In total, 13 criteria are taken into account to form five indicators on which the programs are classified. They are divided into 5 categories:
- Employability of graduates – 35%
- The alumni career – 15%
- The return on investment of the programs – 20%
- Academic quality of the training – 20%
- Diversity of PhDs and Faculty – 10%

QS 2023 ranking of the best Masters in Management: the schools that offer the best ROI
The cost of accessing these courses can sometimes be high for some students. However, with after-school wages, tuition can be easily repaid. In order to better calculate the return on investment of business school Masters in Management, QS takes into account the 10 years after students graduate. Employment, salary, but also the costs of tuition fees are placed in parallel.
Among the four schools that top the ranking of the best Masters in Management in this category are two French branches. The 2 schools on pole position in this ranking are ESSEC and EU Business School which achieved a score of 100. They are closely followed by HEC Paris and Northeastern who achieved a score of 99.9/100, a decrease of 0.1 point compared to last year. EAE business school is the 5e school in this category and received a mark of 99/100.

Academic Quality: What are the Best Masters in Management in the World?
In terms of academic quality, no Master in Management scored 100/100. Nevertheless, European institutions distinguish themselves both in terms of research and the quality of education.
Leading in this category is ESADE-UVA McIntire-Lingnan, with a score of 99.5. The second position is taken by HEC Paris (98.8). Finally, the Esade Business school closes the stage (95.5). The second French school in this category is ESSEC with a score of 92.1/100.

Diversity: the best Masters in Management in the world according to QS
Diversity is a key focus of the Grandes Écoles. In France, many of them have started introducing systems that allow scholarship students to integrate their promotions. This year, however, the first place is no longer taken by a French school. The establishment with the greatest diversity within the establishment is now the EU Business school. The business school achieved a score of 99.4/100.
IESEG is the first French school in this category, it comes in 3e position, with a score of 98.7/100. Yet French schools remain the champions in this field. As proof, the top 10 includes eight branches in France. We find in order IESEG (98.7), IMT-BS (98.6), ICN (98.2), NEOMA (96.5), Excelia (96.3), SKEMA (95.8), MBS ( 95.2), TBS (94.5).

Let’s discover the podium of the ranking of the best Masters in Management 2023 of QS.
The top 3 starts with London Business School, which loses one place from 2022. A school still used to podiums, it has an overall score of 91.4 out of 100. It stands out for the careers of its alumni ( 100), but also his deployability 97.4/100.
In second place we find a French school, ESSEC with a total score of 92.6, which will achieve a place in the ranking in 2023. In particular, its strengths are its return on investment where it scores 100, as well as the career of its alumni with a 99.4/100 score.
Finally, what is the best school in the world? Unsurprisingly, it’s HEC Paris again! Accustomed to pole position, the MSc in Strategic Management achieved a total score of 95.3. Its benefits?
